Babeheaven - "November"

by Sam Mackey

West London based Babeheaven delivers another charming piece with the release of their single November’. Featured on Spotify’s “All New Indie” and “Indie All Stars” playlists, the band has drawn in over 77k monthly listeners. As a duo turned five-piece, Singer Nancy Anderson and guitarist Jamie Travis paired together to create soft reflections of past relationships.

Postmarked by the title of the track, we feel the chilling passing of time and brisk realizations. Beginning with a luring string solo, Babeheaven exhibits themselves as sonically sophisticated. As the lyrics develop, the ease of Anderson’s voice is brought to earth by the consistent pace of the assertive beat.  “I can’t get away, I can’t get away, but I feel so much for them,” she sings, truthfully handling an influx of sentiment. Along with the band’s other piecesNovember’ reveals fragments that signify the larger difficulties of life, while always maintaining a peaceful composure.
