SLOPPY JANE @ GYM STANDARD – Raw, Honest, & Unapologetic.

It’s safe to say that Haley Dahl of Sloppy Jane is one of the most iconic musicians I’ve ever come across, putting on jaw-dropping “in-your-face” live performances that will leave you speechless. In an interview she did with Pond Magazine, Haley says,

“As a performer, make yourself as vulnerable as you can to a group of people, because they’re so scared they don’t know how to be comfortable within themselves.”

Vulnerable is the the best way I can describe her stage persona: spewing blue goo from her mouth and proceeding to strip naked in front of the crowd, the presentation of Sloppy Jane is raw, honest, and unapologetic. It’s one of those things that makes you wonder what the hell you just walked into, but is extremely powerful and empowering all the same.
