March 3rd; the New York based synth-pop band, Porches, played Black Cat in Washington DC, with groups Girl Ray and Palberta opening.

Editor’s note: Jamie’s photography is taut with emotion, and the deeper you scroll, the more the room around you fades. It felt like I could hear the bass, taste the sweat, feel the music reverberating through my body. Like, a month and a half on, I wasn’t seeing these images through a screen, but I was right there, looking up at them from a thrumming crowd. Yeah, keep scrolling. Seriously.    ~ Abby
